Jefferson County Food Bank Association Announces Resignation of Executive Director Patricia Hennessy
The Jefferson County Food Bank Association (JCFBA) Board of Directors has announced that Executive Director Patricia Hennessy will be departing from the organization in mid-November 2025. Hennessy has served as the first Executive Director since joining the organization in 2023, which celebrates over 200 dedicated volunteers. The Board, led by President Roland Faragher-Horwell, expresses appreciation for Hennessy’s contributions, stating, “We are grateful for Patricia’s hard work towards establishing new partnerships, centralizing warehouse and procurement efforts, and building a cohesive management team.”
During the past two years, JCFBA made substantial strides in achieving consistent, network-wide standards for equitable food distribution. Notable accomplishments include the centralization of procurement and warehousing processes into a regional distribution site, initiated in June. This project enhances JCFBA’s collaboration with the Port Angeles Food Bank and other regional partners, amplifying food resources available to the community. Furthermore, the Tri-Area Food Bank has successfully reinstated a client “shopping” experience, akin to those offered in Quilcene and Port Townsend. The organization is also in the process of digitizing its recordkeeping, which will improve insights into the seasonal dynamics of supply and demand and strengthen the procurement of local foods. As the organization moves forward, the Board is thoughtfully considering the next steps for continued leadership.
JCFBA is well-positioned with strong Board leadership, excellent staffing, incredible volunteers, and reinforced partnerships across the region, particularly in Clallam County, solidifying its role as a crucial partner in combating food insecurity.
Community support remains vital to JCFBA's mission. Individuals can contribute by making monetary donations online at www.jcfba.org (http://www.jcfba.org) or mailing checks to PO Box 124, Port Hadlock, WA, 98339. The organization is also actively seeking volunteers to assist with food drives. Interested volunteers can contact info@jcfba.org with “Volunteer” in the subject line. For those looking to organize a food drive or donate food, please visit our website for guidelines on accepted items. (https://jcfba.org/donate).
JCFBA provides nutritious food with dignity, respect, and care to anyone in our community in need. JCFBA operates four food banks, including Brinnon, Quilcene, Tri-Area, and Port Townsend, and is an equal opportunity provider.
