🌟 Let’s honor 40 years of community care by raising $40,000 for our neighbors in need. Together, we can make hunger history. 🌟
🌊 Ride the WAVE – Join the Fight Against Hunger! 🌊
The WAVE Campaign is more than just an event—it’s a movement to shine a spotlight on food insecurity and take action to ensure that no one in our community goes hungry. Each October, our neighbors come together to make a powerful impact, and this year is extra special.
✨ 2025 marks the 40th Anniversary of the WAVE Campaign! ✨
Our goal: Raise $40,000 by October 25th—the final Saturday of the month, officially proclaimed by the Mayor of Port Townsend and the Jefferson County Commissioners as “Food For All Day.”
Over the years, the WAVE Campaign has raised tens of thousands of dollars to support our local food banks. Those dollars have turned into meals, stability, and hope for thousands of families. And we’re just getting started.
💡 Did you know?
The Jefferson County Food Bank Association serves 3,300 households every month.
Just $25 feeds a household for an entire week.
We maximize every donation by purchasing wholesale food at deep discounts and partnering with Food Lifeline, NW Harvest, local retailers, and restaurants.
But hunger isn’t just about food. It’s about inequality, barriers, and voices not being heard. Together, we can change that.
Here’s how YOU can help:
👉 Donate cash – it stretches the farthest.
👉 Host a food drive with your workplace, school, or community group.
👉 Bring in shelf-stable food donations (unopened, undamaged, not expired). High-need items include:
Canned fruit
Canned vegetables
Canned tomato sauce/tomatoes
Canned beans
Canned fish, chicken, Spam
Canned soup, stew or chili
Boxed dinner mixes – macaroni and cheese, flavored pasta
Stock/broth
Peanut butter/nut butter
Honey
Cereal and granola
Dried fruits and nuts
Non-refrigerated oat, soy, or almond milk
Every donation, every dollar, every can of food is a wave that builds into a tide of change.
