FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Quilcene Food Bank Opens Doors at New Home in the Masonic Hall

Jefferson County Food Bank Association | Quilcene, WA

New location at 170 Herbert Street expands capacity, accessibility, and hours for residents across Jefferson County facing food insecurity.

QUILCENE, WA — June 5, 2026, The Jefferson County Food Bank Association (JCFBA) announces that the Quilcene Food Bank has moved to the Quilcene Masonic Hall at 170 Herbert Street, effective immediately.

The move to the Masonic Hall marks a meaningful upgrade in the Food Bank’s ability to serve neighbors in need. The new space is larger and more welcoming. It opens the door to future expanded service hours, including evening operations, to better reach community members with daytime work or transportation constraints.

The transition is made possible through a partnership with the Quilcene Masons. JCFBA is grateful for their generosity in opening the hall to this vital community resource.

JCFBA also extends sincere thanks to Jefferson County for its longstanding hospitality at the Quilcene Community Center, which served as the Food Bank’s home for many years.

"This move is about more than a new address," said Laurie Engelbeck, JCFBA Secretary and Quilcene Food Bank Volunteer. "It reflects our ongoing commitment to showing up for every person in this community who needs us and our gratitude to the partners who make that possible."
